Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Smiles 4 Troops. Below you will find the groups conditions and an Unconditional Support Agreement.
To become a member of this group, you need to enter some personal details on the following page. We do this for the security of our soldiers; at all times this is our number one priority.
We will review every application to verify you personal information and a moderator will contact you personally. We hope you understand that this is necessary for the protection of the men and women we support. We need to be as careful as possible with whom we trust the security of our fighting men and women. We hope that you understand why we have to be so strict. Our members will have access to their adopted troop’s personal information.
With our troops being targets enough already we just can’t take the risk of letting new members into our group without a proper check.
All information received is kept strictly confidential, no third parties are involved except as required by local and/or military law enforcement. Only the Owner and some Moderators have access to your personal information.
Likewise, we require that the names and addresses of your adopted troop(s) not be shared with any third parties whatsoever without express written consent from Smiles4Troops, or the service members themselves. If someone or some group is pressuring you to share information on your adoptee and you are having difficulties telling them "no" or with them accepting the word "no", we urge you to contact us immediately and we will help you solve the issue in short order.
Unconditional Support Agreement
I understand that I must provide unconditional support for my adopted troop for the duration of their deployment, and I will send out correspondence at least twice a month.
I understand that there is no guarantee that my adopted troop will respond and that I will not be able to trade in my adopted troop if they do not respond.
Failure to provide unconditional support will result in being excluded from further adoption opportunities.
I understand that if I have a family or personal emergency that results in my not being able to unconditionally support my troop, that I must notify the adoption coordinators as soon as possible.
I understand that applying for membership that I accept and agree to the terms set forth in this adoption agreement.
